With their school year ending in late November, sponsored students are given their Christmas gifts before they head home for their long break. They will each receive the Uganda equivalent of $35. That can pay for a nice outfit, school supplies for the next year, or even Christmas treats for their family. Father Julius has recommended that amount; he will present the monetary gift to the students on behalf of their sponsors.
